Description
The Technical Diver 2 course prepares divers for advanced dives and projects beyond 50 m / 170 ft by improving their deep diving competencies using helium mixtures and oxygen-enriched decompression gases.
This course prepares divers for depths of 75 m / 246 ft and greater, using three or more stage cylinders or decompression gases, being able to manage their gas, bottom time and decompression exposure in a safe and comfortable manner .
Among other knowledge, we will work on the use of multiple stages, the use of trimix with higher percentages of helium, the use of hypoxic gas mixture protocols, gas management, oxygen management, extended decompression, accelerated, omitted and general decompression strategies, dive planning, and multiple tank management.
Requirements:
– Minimum age of 18 years
– Be physically and mentally fit
– Not being a smoker
– Medical authorization in case of taking prescribed medications
– Have passed GUE Tech 1
– Minimum of 25 recorded Tech 1 level dives after completing the course
– Minimum of 50 logged dives in a double tank configuration
Training:
– Minimum of 7 dives (includes 3 trimix experience dives)
– Minimum of 48 hours of instruction.
